When we try to meditate, we can easily get caught up in the methods that are meant to help us meditate, and we forget the simplicity of what meditation is really all about. Meditation is not about watching the breath rigorously, or concentrating on something in particular – although these are very good methods for anchoring our focus and concentration when the mind is busy. Nor is meditation about switching of the mind, about being peaceful, or happy, or relaxed. It is not about reaching a certain stage or feeling. It is not about achieving anything. Meditation is just being able to sit for a certain amount of time in stillness, to just be and observe the moment…
We have just added a new guided meditation that is reminding and guiding us to to just this. Please find it under our ressources: https://thrivinglife.eu/free-resources/
